Cosmo network

The Cosmo network configuration allow to connect multiple devices (such as cabinets and counters of the first Vision serie, Vision 2, Modi OR devices with Dixell thermostats) to an HUB in order to allow data transmission to the Cosmo portal. The Cosmo HUB is a Vision 2 or Modi device.
Configuration of devices with Dixell controller

It will be necessary to connect the devices to the Cosmo HUB and assign them an address. Each machine on the network will have a unique address associated with the serial number and decided during the configuration.
Electrical connection

- Install on all the thermostats the appropriate monitoring interface (see picture below);

- Lay a shielded bipolar cable connecting all the machines sequentially, preferably avoiding star connections. On not-evolved thermostats, the cable must be connected to the appropriate terminals of the interface (see photo). On smart thermostats, the cable must be connected to the appropriate terminal block outside the electrical panel.
Address configuration

- Enter into the configuration menu by pressing buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously (see photo) until the word “HY” appears on the display

- Release and press buttons 1 and 2 again keeping them pressed together until "Pr2" appears.

- Scroll with the arrow (button 1) up to the voice "Adr" and press set (button 2).

- Use the arrows (buttons 1 and 4) to set an arbitrary address between 21 and 254 and press set (button 2). The set network address must be unique, machines with the same address must not be present on the network.

Electrical connection HUB Cosmo

The bipolar cable connected to the Cosmo HUB must be connected to the terminals present near the electrical panel, behind the casing. The red cable is the positive while the black is the negative. (see photo)

HUB Cosmo Vision configuration

To configure a Vision device as Cosmo HUB it is necessary to connect it to a Wi-Fi network and enter the serial numbers and addresses of the connected machines, proceed as follows:

- Open the "Settings" menu, select the "Cosmo" item and after "Wi-fi" as shown in the figure

- The machine will start Wi-Fi scanning and display the list of identified networks. Select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password and click the enter button. The machine will automatically be configured with a dynamic IP address (DHCP).

- You will then be asked to set the local time zone. Once this configuration is complete, wait for the machine to return to the main menu.

- To complete the HUB configuration it will be necessary to set serial numbers and addresses of the connected devices. Open the "Settings" menu, select "Cosmo" (as in the previous step) and click on "ModBus Configuration".

- Select "Add device" item, specify the type of device connected and click "NEXT" (See picture below).

- Select the address of the machine connected to the HUB, click on "NEXT" and enter the relative serial number. Press "Enter" on the keyboard. At this point the newly configured machine will be displayed in the list of connected devices, with the relative configuration data (see figure).

- To add other devices connected to the HUB, select "Add device" and repeat the last steps.

- La configurazione a questo punto è completata e le macchine inizieranno automaticamente ad inviare dati a Cosmo.

- The configuration is now complete and the machines will automatically start sending data to Cosmo.
